Margaret is a British member of the ZA and has been a trustee since 2007. Margaret’s connections with Zimbabwe started in the pre-independence period and involvement in the anti-apartheid movement. In the 1990s, Margaret worked for the Zimbabwe International Book Fair as its international agent.
Margaret is active in the Britain Zimbabwe Society (BZS), partner organisation to the ZA. She is now a full-time carer, after working in charity finance and before that in the publishing industry.
Rex has been a trustee of the ZA since 2015 after conducting research on the strategic and operational direction of the organisation. He chairs the ZA Communications working group and is also an enabler on the Community, Membership and Fundraising working group.
Rex is a full time consulting analyst and holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Kent and MSc from University College London (UCL).
Richard was elected as a trustee for the Zimbabwe Association at the 2016 AGM. He brings his Pastoral skills from many years in church leadership and leadership skill from other social groups.
Richard has worked within the youth church scene in Zimbabwe for many years, hosting camps for youth and young adults. Richard is also a founding member of the Firm Foundation Network Chinhoyi.
Richard holds a BA (Hons) in Theology and Mission (York St John University) from Formission College of Birmingham UK.
Edgar was appointed a trustee of the ZA in November 2016. He sits on the Finance and Governance working group, Education and Training working group and Information and Communication working group.
Edgar has over 25 years work experience in the banking, retail and housing sectors in Zimbabwe and the UK. He is a qualified banker (South Africa), qualified chartered secretary (UK) and has an MSc degree in Corporate Governance from London South Bank University.
Edgar enjoys watching sport and listening to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
Pythias chairs the Education and Training working group for the ZA after being appointed as a trustee in November 2016. Pythias previously worked as a teacher in Zimbabwe for almost 25 years both in the Primary and Secondary Education.
Pythias enjoys watching football and discussing Zimbabwean politics.
Delina comes from a Banking professional background. She brings perspective and insight to a variety of corporate governance and leadership issues that can truly shape the ZA. As a trustee, Delina engages and works with others in providing practical and emotional support to asylum seekers and refugees to improve the asylum system and enhance refugee integration in the UK.
Her combined experience as a former asylum seeker, and currently as a human rights activist, makes Delina a high-calibre trustee with the right skills to help the ZA’s board reach its potential. She also has a comprehensive understanding of the Zimbabwean diaspora society served by the ZA.
